Natural beauty

I've just started making my own lavender facial-toner. Instead of using the store-bought ones (where you usually can't even read the names of the ingredientes and you probably don't want to know what they conatin either) I now get a really cheap toner that's great for the skin and contains no toxic or harmful substances. Here's the recipe:

Lavender Toner

0,5 dl dried Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)
5 dl Water (preferably spring water, but regular tap-water works fine as well)

Put the water in a pot and bring to a boil. Remove the pot from the burner and add the lavender. Put the lid on, and let the lavender steep for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Strain the mixture through a cheese-cloth to remove the lavender. Keep the toner in a glass-jar in the fridge, and use as nessecary!

You can also put some dried Pot Marigold/English Marigold (Ringblomma) in the toner, witch also works very well for people with acne, exzema etc. In that case, you use 0,25dl Lavender and 0,25 dl Pot Marigold/English Marigold, and steep as usual!

Since this toner does not contain any alcohol, it's only good for about one week. If you want to you can add some alcohol, vinegar or lemonjuice to prolong the past-due-date. But since those ingredientes aren't very good for dry skin, I don't recommend this.

Lavender toner is very good for people with normal/dry skin, acne, eczema, inflamed and irritated skin. If you for example have exzemas on your arms, you can put the toner in a spraybottle and spray it on the problem area after taking a shower or before going to bed!

Good Luck!
